Jenny Tinmouth

Jen or 'crasher' as she is affectionately known for her technique on the race track, first began motorcycle mechanics at the age of 19, attending a college course on motorcycle mechanics as an introduction to the occupation and to help achieve her racing ambition.

In 1999 she began work at the same Chester based dealership as Steve, offering to work for free at weekends whilst still at college. She was soon promoted to a full time position when her college commitments were reduced to one day a week and she completed her college course and was fully qualified by mid 2000.

Jenny attended many manufacturer training courses during her time at the dealership including all the major Japanese manufacturers and Triumph. She also became a qualified M.O.T inspector.

Jenny began racing during 1999, competing in local club meetings to begin with until graduating to British Championship level in 2003. Jenny is one of only three female racers at British level and the first to have scored British Championship points.

She is also one of just a handful of female motorcycle mechanics in the country.
